Treatment Modalities

At Serendipity Therapy Services, we offer a wide range of evidence-based and creative therapeutic approaches to support the unique needs of each client. Our therapists tailor treatment to meet clients where they are—considering age, developmental stage, neurotype, and personal goals.

We are trained in modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These approaches are used to support trauma healing, emotional regulation, and identity development in ways that feel safe and empowering.

In addition to talk therapy, we integrate play therapy, art-based therapy, sandtray, and storytelling into our sessions, particularly when working with children or clients who process best through creative or sensory-based methods. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where clients of all ages can express themselves fully and build lasting skills for emotional well-being.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

When children use dress-up and pretend play, they can explore their feelings, practice problem-solving, and learn to understand others. This kind of play helps the therapist see how the child thinks and feels. It also helps build trust. As children play, they grow stronger, feel more confident, and learn ways to handle tough situations in real life.

Creative Expression

In sandtray therapy, children and teens use toys and sand to show their thoughts and feelings in a safe and creative way. This hands-on play lets them explore what’s going on inside without needing to find the right words. The therapist watches and gently talks with them about their sand scenes, helping them understand their emotions, learn ways to cope, and grow stronger over time.

In talk therapy, children and teens have a safe space to share their thoughts and feelings. They learn how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected, and how to change unhelpful patterns. The therapist helps them build better coping skills, solve problems, and feel more in control. Over time, this can lead to stronger emotional health and more confidence in handling life’s challenges.
